Clinique doesn\’t make it extremely clear but this acts like a serum to be used BEFORE your moisturizer. If you tend to be on the oily side, you can possibly get away with using it on its own.
I also want to point out that it\’s best to use just a little- a nickel size amount- so that you don\’t get stickiness or tack. A little goes a long way and you can always add more if you need it. It is also WATER based which means: it may not play nicely with your OIL based products if you use them after this. Water and oil never mix well and if your foundation is oil based, it can cause this stuff to pill up on your skin if it\’s not fully absorbed. If it\’s FULLY absorbed, it should be fine as I\’ve used it with an oil based foundation after with no negative results.
I really like how it\’s lightweight and adds instant hydration. My skin was looking a little lackluster thanks to too many days at the beach and this really helped in adding hydration and bringing it back to life. A little goes a LONG way with this product; I feel like the full size bottle will last me forever!
